Kingdom of Blind

Once, I've read a short story. Honestly, in the beginning of the story, I had thought it was the one of those shitty stories I read daily; but it wasn't. Somehow it distracted me -was about the increased numbers of the suicides in a country. Everybody kept killing themselves; corpses hanging down in ropes from the roofs.

That imagination has reminded me the recent situations in my country. I thought that, in that story, the writer were trying to say that the only way out is suicide... or hoping all the life-time (hope might not be too long; because hoping lead one to despair, or missing the meaning of life): Kafkaesque...

As you can see, the problem itself was trying to have a better life -or death- by escaping. Yes, suicide might be the most extreme way among the kinds of escaping; but what if all the circumstances lead no way else? Only remaining idea is running away, but just one direction for it...

From whom, from what one runs away? It is the most simplest question to answer: A man wants to leave an area, where he feels uncomfortable or disturbed, or just lack of something, -or everything- which makes him feel he is the part of that community (or that place), belonging to certain place...

Did you ever stop for thinking for a while? For just, there are most of things you can see in your environment, which retain you from thoughts, from thinking, from discussing in the inner-platform which you built inside your brain -if you have one for sure. A psychiatrist told me once that people need to sleep at nights; if they don't, -and they stay awake all the night alone in home, in those moments, they'll probably feel bad themselves if they are awake; and they'll THINK long and long, in some cases all the night long... Environmental conditions, scientists, teachers, parents, friends... they are all dealt between themselves for withholding us from thinking; so they give us our services all we need, prepared, then no need to be worry. Because generating, producting or doing something new might harm you, and could give you some permanent wounds, or even can give a corpse of your own; why is skillful, intelligent ones no need to be free. This might cause a trouble upon population.

And thinking deeply might cause being helplessness, losing the chains which binds you to life, or losing the hope for the light in your thin long way, which can force you to suicide. But note that, this behavior was what others expected you to do. If you have different feelings, a unique life-style, you would be a threat for others, just because you are an UNKNOWN in their eyes; all people scare of UFOs; even of the ones cannot fly.

As you know, Albert Camus, one of the writers of been alienated; his book L’Étranger (The Stranger) exactly tells the story of how been isolated makes someone feel. In the novel, the title character's name is Meursault. He is a guy who isolated himself from the people. Because, he refuses to believe romantic love stories, sincere friendships, and happy family stuffs... He claim -in his subconscious- people haven't got ability to be true, nice, sincere, romantic, expecting no benefit in the age which everything comes fastly, and goes more fastly than they came up... (like pop musics, big disasters etc.) Then, he is the most honest people in the world in that time when you read that book, because he never pretend like he isn't. He is very cool to people, not trying to smile feigned...

One day, Meursault kills an Arab, and he feels no pain, no regret or something. As I told before, he believes men can have no feeling in this age, but just some feigned feelings, which has equal taste to soap operas. And he stand on the court for his charge and eventually judgement. He feels nothing, but just likes the moments, because everybody is interested in him, also he never understand the existence of life. Because he was a man no one cares so far, but now... Finally, the prosecutors claim that he wasn't sad enough when her mother died, he was almost happy when she's gone; and they said he was so violent man without any feeling, and he needs to be executed in the guillotine. It was just for he wasn't like others, yet the one needed to be exterminated. As others think, all people in whole world, must be deeply sad when one the member of their family was dead.

He never scared to be dead, though he already has no meaning in life. He was only the another one for the other one, both precious but in the same time useless... It's just for the world is a place for having lots of fun and spending good time no matter whatever happened. All necessary stuffs are those small things (gifts, clothes, smart phones, etc.), all, which makes us happy and rescue us from the danger of thinking as well, no matter they work for temporary time... Those things, which soothe us against profundity, are just walking stick and a dog of a blind man; and then you'll never be a stranger, and Mother Capitalism will be blessed by you and the others who are like you, and she will be proud of you; meanwhile Mother Nature would be crying.
